We are part of Alliance 2015, (  a strategic network of seven European non-governmental organizations engaged in humanitarian aid and development projects. This collaboration increases effectiveness, both in working in the target countries and in campaigns aimed at influencing the attitudes of politicians and the general public in Europe. In our over 16 years operation in Ethiopia, has focused on projects in five main areas of interest: Education and Social protection, Environment, Livelihood and Agriculture, Water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Emergency programs.

Position:1. Field Officer (TVET Wash)

Location: Different Locations ( Durame, Shone, Mirab Abaya and Bule hora) please select the location in your application form.

Employment Type:Full time

Salary: Birr15,940.00

Length of Contract: Definite until December 31/2025

General Description:

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Project Manager/Filed Coordinator and WASH engineer, the FO has the responsibility to contribute towards improving the maintenance of water schemes and implementation of TVET related activities in the target areas. FO will plan, coordinate and follow up short-term training for water scheme operators and Woreda Water Office Technicians in the project operation areas. FO is also accountable for preparation of   pre- and post- training tests for water scheme operators in their respective areas and for regular post training follow up on smooth operation and maintenance of water scheme in the project operation areas based on PIN standard follow up checklist. He is also responsible for the TVET related project tasks in his assigned area.

Job Requirements:

BSC Degree in the field of TVET Education, WASH, Construction, Hydraulic Engineering, Water supply Engineering, Electromechanical engineering, Business administration and related fields

At least three years Experience in Project planning, implementation, reporting, field monitoring, administrative tasks, field coordination with government (TVET colleges, Water offices, education & job creation offices), good communication at community level, coordination with other stakeholders, etc.

Position:3. Meal Officer

Location: Based in Modjo with frequent travel to PIN’s project sites in SNPPR, Sidama, Oromia, Tigray and/or other regions as required.

Job Requirements:


• BA degree in social sciences, development, statics, or any relevant field more than 2 years’ experience in International NGO’s (education sector is preferred).

Skills & experience

Experience in data collection and analysis, and handling of electronic data collection tools.

Experience in quantitative and

qualitative data analysis.

Experience in online and offline data base managements.

Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning in development, for marginalized girl’s education context.

High ethical standards and ability to endorse principals of confidentiality.

Commitment to and understanding of PIN’s aims, values and principles.

Ability to use effectively MS Office.

Willingness and eagerness to learn new things.

Location: Addis Ababa With frequent travel to different sites in different regions of Ethiopia.

Main Focus

Strengthening PIN’s Ethiopia mission and employees’ capacity to effectively design and implement interventions supporting development of markets and enterprises

Promote and ensure quality implementation of livelihood components in PIN Ethiopia projects and programs

Promote Market System Development (MSD) approach and its principles among the PIN Ethiopia staff and ensure its quality application in PIN Ethiopia projects and programs

Collect, document and disseminate knowledge and experience in the field of markets and enterprises development in Ethiopia

Job Requirements:

BA Degree in the field of Education & TVETs development, Sociology, Social work, Partnership Development, Psychology, Rural Development, MSD, Business Administration/Developmental economics, Economics or other related field of studies

At least five years Experience in MSD, Stakeholders management, Strategic planning, management, reporting, communication with government authorities & partner NGOs, partnership development, trai9ning provision for MSEs, coordination with various stakeholders, forums, clusters, MFIs, etc.
